It is made with spiral steel boning which gives you more flexibility with movement but also gives you that shapely hourglass look when wearing the garment. The sweetheart neckline accentuates your bustline and the overbust lies nicely on your hips. The edges are finished nicely with satin and the cotton on the inside is very comfortable as well.   • What "Size" Do I Wear?

    The number of the corset indicates the smallest size (in inches) that the corset will cinch down to. The modesty panel under the laces is about 8 inches. This means the maximum designed size of any corset is the numerical size plus the modesty panel width, (i,e. a size 26" plus 8" equals up to 34", meaning this example will range from 26" to 34"). Since you would like to have a corset with maximum versatility, you will probably want to be able to wear it loosely AND cinch for an hourglass figure. We recommend that you allow 3"-4" of cinching. For instance, a 30" natural waist can do well with a 26" corset and have a good range of function. This, of course, can vary depending on how much dedication you have to an hourglass figure.


    What Is "Boning"?

    Boning is/are steel ribs sewn into the body of the corset for support and structure. There are almost always flat steel bones at the front closure (busk, zipper etc..) and rear laces for cinching. Some corsets use only flat steel bones. Flat steel bones can be quite rigid and limit movement for the wearer. Spiral steel bones are frequently sewn around the body of the corset in pairs to increase the range of motion (think of a spiral notebook spine). Dancers usually prefer spiral boning for flexibility compared to the flat steel boning which is more authentic.


    What Is "Waist Training"?

    Consistent usage of a waist training corset can actually change the shape of your body. Waist training proponents recommend wearing a cinched corset several hours each day for several months or more to achieve noticeable results. Some would sleep in them but we cannot recommend this.
